Megahwati is a highly motivated piano teacher, whose objective is to share the love of music with children.
She has taught in various music schools in Sydney and Jakarta and shares Dr Shinchi Suzuki's philosophy of "Character first, ability second"
She is available to teach Traditional and Suzuki Piano.

Megahwati started learning Piano at age 7, she studied through the Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music (ABRSM) exam program until Grade 8 and continued to study through Diploma of Teaching in Instrumental Program. She has attended many professional development programs: the Kindermusik Program (Russian method of teaching) and the Suzuki Method; observing and learning many methods to apply in her teaching. In 2008 Megahwati moved to Australia and completed her Suzuki Teacher Training Certificate III and is currently completing Certificate IV with Suzuki Talent Education Association of NSW. She has taught in various music schools in Jakarta, Indonesia, then in Australia in Silverwater Pty Ltd, Northside Talent Education (Brookvale), the Suzuki Association (Thornleigh) and teaching privately.
Megahwati's philosophy in teaching is is similar to Dr Shinichi Suzuki's philosophy in developing a child to be a fine human being, which is "Character first, ability second". Megahwati believes that talent is not inborn; talent is when you have done your 10000 hours or more of practicing. Therefore she is passionately sure that when a child applies the discipline of practicing, has a strong work ethic and proper nurturing environment, he/she will progress well.
