Braxton is a dedicated and passionate Suzuki method cello teacher, he maintains teaching studios in both Sydney and Brisbane

He is a wonderful musician who is active as a freelance performer and is a positive caring teacher who provides expert tuition with a well rounded approach that enables his students to enjoy and respect the learning experience.





Background

Braxton Neate is a dedicated and passionate Suzuki method cello teacher. He currently maintains a large private studio in Brisbane at Browning Street Studios, where he is Head of the String Department and in 2017 has also commenced teaching at Suzuki Music Institute and Lane Cove Music and Cultural Centre. Braxton completed his undergraduate and postgraduate studies at the Queensland Conservatorium Griffith University, he studied cello under Mei-Lee and Markus Stocker and string pedagogy with Elizabeth Morgan AM, gaining a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music Studies (Performance).

Braxton also serves on the Queensland State Council of the Suzuki Talent Association of Australia and is a past member of the Australian Strings Association.

Braxton is active as a freelance musician and has recorded for ABC Radio and Television. He is the Co-Founder of Ensemble Fabrique, one of Brisbane's innovative new music ensembles, staging and commissioning many new compositions. He has a keen interest in the performance of contemporary Australian compositions and World Music projects , particularly the music of East Asia.
