Jen is a passionate professional pianist and piano teacher with over 20 years of experience in performing and teaching piano in Taiwan, the United Kingdom and Australia. She completed her degrees in Taiwan and the United Kingdom.


Jen Lo began her musical journey at the age of four. She then studied Piano and Cello at a secondary school specialised in music in Taiwan. During that time, she had opportunities to perform and participate in various piano recitals, competitions and was awarded first prize in state piano competition. The same year, she was selected to perform a Mozart piano concerto with her high school orchestra. At age 19, she had her first piano recital held by city council. Jen Holds a Bachelor degree in piano performance from Taipei National University of Arts, in 2004 she received a scholarship to study piano performance at the Royal College of Music in the United Kingdom and learnt from Simon Nichols and Andrew Ball. Jen then decided to further her studies in piano and eventually earned a Master degree in Piano Performance from Birmingham City University.


Jen has been teaching piano to beginners as well as advanced players both in classroom environment and private lessons for a number of years.She has taught students at different levels and helped them prepared AMEB both piano and theory exams.Over the years of learning from different teachers and playing piano in various concert herself, she has gained valuable insight to teach piano in the most enjoyable and effective ways to students.
