Ruben Giuseppe Levi Pennestrì is a dedicated secondary education music teacher with over 13 years of experience in devising and delivering learning curriculum. He was born in Reggio Calabria and began his musical studies at the young age of 5 years old, under the guidance of Maestro Salvatore Zema.


Ruben Giuseppe Levi Pennestrì is a dedicated secondary education music teacher with over 13 years of experience in devising and delivering learning curriculum. He was born in Reggio Calabria and began his musical studies at the young age of 5 years old, under the guidance of Maestro Salvatore Zema.

After teaching for a few years in Reggio Calabria he moved to Florence, attracted by the history of the Renaissance time and the beauty of Tuscany.

Throughout his career he has had the opportunity to perform at musical, cultural events and festivals, as a soloist, in chamber ensembles (guitar and voice, guitar duo, guitar quartet) and orchestra. His studies with the famous Maestros Oscar Ghiglia, Stefano Grondona and Eliot Fisk who were Andres Segovia’s pupils were a highlight. During 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020 he was a full-time student at the Accademia Musicale Chigiana attending music improvement courses in Siena held by Maestro Oscar Ghiglia and he obtained the Diploma of Merit. In 2021 he majored in Francisco Tárrega and he wrote his thesis untitled “Por y Para Tárrega”.
