Lane Cove Music and Cultural Association was co-founded in 1994 by Robyn Mah and a group of local music/arts enthusiasts. Robyn Mah has been the Director since the foundation of the Association, energetically creating a community hub for music education and the advancement of local arts.
Robyn is passionate about the enrichment of children and adults, to assist in developing their interests, skills and potential through quality music education and liberal access to the arts.
Robyn has been recognised for her achievements by Lane Cove Council through a Citizenship Award for individual contribution to community music development and in 1997 with a Paul Harris International Rotary Fellowship by the Rotary Club of Lane Cove.
Rachel is a passionate and people-oriented Lane Cove resident with two musical children.
She has a background in accounting and business after working as a chief accountant for over eight years in China. She also has experience in financial auditing in multiple accounting firms in China and recently completed a refresher Certificate 4 in Accounting and Bookkeeping in Australia.
Helen Smith is a local Lane Cove resident who has had an interest in community music for many years.
Helen brings to the executive committee a background in banking, music and community participation.
Steven was the owner of a local restaurant for 21 years and has raised two children involved in music. He has a passion for education and community involvement.
Steven brings to the committee extensive experience in accounting and management. He also has lots of advice on Chinese cooking.
Rick has lived in Longueville for over 40 years and has been involved in many cultural activities in Lane Cove.
Formerly a Special Education school teacher Rick has also owned his own travel business, and has worked professionally as a musician and a compere.
Rick has a keen interest in encouraging and promoting all kinds of music appreciation and performance.
Louise joined the Lane Cove Music and Cultural Executive Committee in 2018.
She has been Administration Assistant to the Director since May 2016 and recently left the LCMCC to spend time with her growing family. Joining the Executive Committee has been a great opportunity to stay involved and contribute to the LCMCC Community.
Louise is an avid music lover and enjoys the opportunity to share this with others. She believes that being involved in music and performance can help to develop essential skills and potential in all aspects of life...it’s also great fun!
