Lidia Bara, 34, is an Australian violinist who started learning Suzuki violin at the early age of three. Studying with Mr Yasuki Nakamura, she quickly progressed through all the levels of the Suzuki Violin method before continuing tertiary studies at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music with Professor Ole Bohn. She has also studied with Jun Yi Ma (Concertmaster of the AOBO) and Sun Yi (SSO).
Lidia has thoroughly enjoyed her time growing up with music. Her fondest memories consist of many elite performance workshops, concerts, eisteddfods, musicals, camps and tours including travelling to China with the Australian International Opera Company recently in 2018/2019, Colombia with the International Cantana Festival in 2012, Brazil with Professor Ole Bohn in 2011 and masterclass at the Salzburg Mozarteum in Austria in 2014.
Lidia has been imparted her knowledge of the violin using the Suzuki Method since 2007 and in addition, also happy to share her love of music to beginner students via the Traditional Method (AMEB) and for those approaching exams.
Lidia believes that through nurturing the child in the right environment, every child can learn. As Dr Shinichi Suzuki states, 'Where love is deep, much can be accomplished.'
